I wrote this poem in 2007 when it was still new to me that the sun never sets in the summer or that it gets dark where I live.

We often have to climb high
and far
away from our pride

before we can vent
whats burning
inside
~
and it can help
to stand straight
because appearance
dilutes

A comfortable sitting down
legs crossed, the mind wondering
a slight draft, a window is open
the eyes close, light still seeps trough
it slowly darkens, and I get lighter
