I didn’t see what I saw
til I froze my perspective
~
I now see it
floating mit air
that I have no ground
to stand on
~
the ground is maybe there
I guess
but not as our reality
it seems

The light
is often presented
through mesmerizing walls
~
charisma dictates
a sleight of hands
the eyes away
from you

I can turn up the heat
and drive you out
but I am so old
that even the noise I make
will scare you away

I can choose to just don’t listen to you
just to my own thoughts
or
I don’t listen to you
and follow the music

Afraid of the dark
we embark in imaginary
boundaries

They live under the illusion that they follow their own ideas and inclinations, that they are individualists, that they have arrived at their opinions as the result of their own thinking—and that it just happens that their ideas are the same as those of the majority.
Erich Fromm, The art of loving

If you color over
over your world
the tools you use
will take this color

You might find a lot of loose screws
but if you still find them
you haven’t fallen apart
