Observations: there are countless political, religious and cultural views. Most people have their own distinctive views on these matters. Most people have more believe than doubt in their own views resulting in these countless different opinions or certainties.
Questions: how is it possible that contradictory views on life can exist alongside each other and be defended passionately?
An example: imagine a large jar of marbles on a fair. You can win a price if you guess how many marbles are in the jar. I imagine that many people haply guess a number and wait till the count. I also imagine that no one is defending their guess as if it is some kind of truth.
Question: is there a difference between guessing and stating the amount of marbles in a jar and stating your views on life? Remember that both have countless answers to “choose” from, and before the final count no one knows the answer for sure.
Question: is it possible to live without a belief or trust I you own personal truths?
Quote: Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn’t. Mark Twain
